An ambient journey of effortless musicality. Ooh that sounds nice.
I don’t know whether it’s because it’s titled as ‘Sundial’ so I already had that in mind, but it seems the perfect image to gather when listening to this 15 track collection of wonderfully elegant songs.
The majority of the album remains lyric-less, which is wonderfully refreshing and especially bold in the modern world of music; occasionally the music is broken up by pieces of dialogue and speech, entwined with the collaboration of instruments – lovely.
A lot of shorter pieces feature throughout this album; which makes the 15 tracks fly by, something which a great deal of modern albums lack – they tend to drag out and I end up skipping tracks, naughty me.
